Event Description
Turn your kitchen into a mini ceramic studio for the day and have a HOOT of a time making your own standing owl out of clay! Instructor Lee Stead will provide rolled clay, cut to size for the body of the owl, and will guide participants through how to make and attach the eyes, beak, and wings along with other fun ideas and additions.
Participants will pick up the clay prior to the class and build their owls together over Zoom, then fly them back to be fired by the instructor. Once the owls have been been fired, participants can add pops of colour by painting them at home at their leisure.
Take a break our your busy day and spend an hour with us!
Instructor Lee Stead discovered ceramics and loved the feel and added creativity of hand-built ceramic work, rather than using a wheel. Using language and images to express her creative thoughts with clay, she quickly found a demand and began teaching adults and children her personalized style.
No experience necessary. No fancy equipment needed. Bring your creative imagination!
Participants will need to pick up their clay from the gallery at our temporary location, 444 Parkhill Terrace, Ladysmith, in advance of workshop. You will be notified when clay is ready. $33 includes clay, firing, paint and instructions.
