The Sidney Community Music School was founded in 1990 by Ann-Marie Thompson. For the first few years, only piano lessons, Kodaly classes and Children's Choir were offered. As community interest grew, the school expanded to include new faculty, instruction on many instruments, music literacy classes as well as a women's choir. By 2000, the School had outgrown its rented space and moved to its own facilities on Glamorgan Road. Today there are 15 faculty members and about 300 students who take lessons at the Music School.Music School / Instructor
