Event Description

Craigdarroch Castle in Song

Through the auspices of Craigdarroch Castle and the Vancouver International Song Institute (VISI), the School of Music, University of Victoria presents a concert in celebration of the story of Craigdarroch Castle and Victoria's heritage. Featuring students from the UVic School of Music Voice Department with students from the School of Music's Piano Department. With music by Noel Coward, Richard Strauss, Samuel Barber, Benjamin Britten and Eleanor Dunsmuir, as well as traditional Chinese and Persian songs. A portion of the proceeds will benefit scholarships for VISI student summer music programs.
