Join this three day fascinating journey in paint that will take you to a whole new level! Painting ala prima (from life) using a live model, we will explore concepts of composition, warm & cool palettes, how to use edges to create focus, color mixing, materials and supports.
This workshop is for those who are comfortable with the basics of portrait painting such as the proportions of the head and who are comfortable drawing. There are demonstrations every step of the way. With clear step-by-step, hands-on instructions, a wealth of technical tips, continuous demonstrations, and personal instruction at each student’s easel, David will show students how to approach the challenges of portraiture with confidence. Questions are encouraged at all times.
Workshops are all about learning from each other and having fun while doing it!
