Event Description
Looking at landscape elements in this fresh spring class will be just the thing to plan and prepare for plein air landscapes as the weather warms. Have fun, experiment from the comfort of home on Zoom, and discover different techniques, color combinations, and approaches to creating skies, trees, grasses, earth, rock and ocean. Various approaches by master artists will be discussed and fun warm up washes will be tested. Join artist Josslyn Meyers and other participants for an online interactive weekly art adventure!
Recommended Materials List:
140-lb watercolour paper, cold press (pad or sheets)
Watercolour brushes (1-inch flat, number 8 round, number 12 flat)
Watercolour paints (tube or pan set)
Masking tape and flat board
Assorted Brushes such as 1-inch flat, #8 or 12 round, chisel brush
Also good to have: pastels, matt medium, assorted papers for collaging
Art supplies can be purchased from your local art supply store, such as Iron Oxide in Nanaimo; alternatively, we have gently used materials that can be assembled for you for purchase at a reduced rate, and these can be picked up at 444 Parkhill Terrace in Ladysmith.
