Event Description
Have fun and discover many different techniques and approaches to skies, trees, grasses, earth, rock and ocean. This class will focus on trying out washes and finding color schemes that resonate. Composition and color combinations will be explored, and we will look at master artist's works online.
Recommended Materials List:
140-lb watercolour paper, cold press (pad or sheets)
Watercolour brushes (1-inch flat, number 8 round, number 12 flat)
Watercolour paints (tube or pan set)
Masking tape and flat board
Assorted Brushes such as 1-inch flat, #8 or 12 round, chisel brush
Also good to have: pastels, matt medium, assorted papers for collaging
Art supplies can be purchased from your local art supply store, such as Iron Oxide in Nanaimo; alternatively, we have gently used materials that can be assembled for you for purchase at a reduced rate, and these can be picked up at 444 Parkhill Terrace in Ladysmith.
